The Envoy 110 from Peavey is a feature packed solid-state amp with 40 watts of power, and a 10" Blue Marvel speaker that will prove highly practical to beginners and seasoned pro's alike.
Peaveys patented TransTube circuitry has moved forward into the third generation of products, leading the industry in tube emulation. There is no other solid-state amp that more closely replicates the characteristics of a tube amp.
Weighing in at 19kg, the Envoy 110 measures 530mm high, 590mm wide and 286mm deep, so is not too big for the house, and is a good size for taking to band practice as well.
It has 2 inputs, number 1 is fort most electric guitars, number 2 is for high output guitars, used to avoid overloading the system!
The clean channel has a master volume control and passive controls for low, mid and high frequencies. Also on this channel you get a 3 way voicing switch,

WARM is provoked for darker sounds
Playing about with these settings, you can get some great sounds, from a warm, mellow jazzy tone, clean bluesy to bright and sparkly pop tones. All give good clarity and plenty of volume is available.
Flicking the channel select switch, you come to the dirty, filthy dirty that is, lead channel. First you get the pre-gain control, which alters the input volume of this channel. Also on this channel is a passive 3 band EQ, as on the clean channel.
The lead channel also features a 3 way voicing switch,
MODERN increases overall gain, cutting mid frequencies, giving a modern tone used in hard rock and metal
CLASSIC replicates overdriven tube sounds of the past
HIGH GAIN increases overall gain and changes the EQ, giving a tighter response at lower pre-gain settings, and an 'over the top' sound at higher pre-gain settigs.
This gives the amp a broad range of rock and metal sounds, perfect for everything from old school blues, to punk, right up to modern metal and thrash. If you like very high gain sounds, this is the amp for you.
Both channels can be controled by a footswitch, not provided though. Also, you get a master reverb control for both channels and a volume boost, for when you need to go to 11.
Around the back, which is open, the power switch, headphone socket, speaker output socket and remote footswitch socket.
All pretty easy to use stuff, real good rock sounds, cool looks and practical uses. Very good value for money too.
