* Electro-acoustic 'biscuit' resonator * Wood body with single cutaway * Matt black finish * Plated fittings * 'Lipstick' style pick up with volume and tone control
This classic all single coned Electro Acoustic Resonator from Ozark has all the looks, sounds and class you'd expect from a quality instrument.
Korean made, it features chrome tuners, a Mahogany neck, a single cone biscuit resonator (in the National style), and a single coil 'lipstick' type pickup, giving a sound like no other.
The small and compact headstock has a matt black face, with Ozark's signature logo in green Abolone. The front also has a black plastic truss rod cover. The rear of the headstock also has a satin black finish. The Machine heads are Grover style, Chrome, all enclosed with large buttons.
The Mahogany neck has the same matt, satin finish, it's very slim, with a rounded C profile. Nut width here is 43mm.
The fretboard on this Resonator is Rosewood, with small white position markers.
The neck is, of course, set in, joining at the 14th fret on the bass side, and the 16th on the cutaway treble side. The whole body has a smooth, satin black finish. The back has cream binding, the top, 5 ply black and cream, giving a very smart look.
The single Resonator itself has it's convex surface uppermost, with 9 perforated diamond shaped soundhole areas. In the middle, at the cones apex is the biscuit, supporting a small wooden bridge, all covered by a Chrome plate.
At the top of the body, we have 2 asymetrical 'f' holes, the one on the treble side having had it's top chopped off to make room for the cutaway, and at the botton, the Chrome tailpiece also houses the strap button.
This Electro version comes complete with a long single coil 'lipstick' style pickup and single volume and cone controls. All simple enough to use, allowing you to plug in performing, recording, use of effects etc etc.
Sounds are spectacularly bright and metallic, loads of sparkly jangle, ringing sustain and charming character. These guitars are great for many musical styles, clearly slide springs to mind, but all bluegrass, country and blues, rock 'n' roll even are all well represented by Resonators.
