What’s more, its larger LCD and smart new editing workflow pages make it easier than ever to find, tweak and save tones.
POD X3 Live also offers powerful new dual tone modeling and routing options. Split your single-input guitar or bass signal through two different amp and effect chains simultaneously to create gorgeous new hybrids, or use its dual inputs to individually process two instruments—a microphone and a guitar, for example—at the same time.
The Variax Digital Interface combines the acoustic and electric guitar models of your Variax with the amps, cabs, and effects of your POD X3 Live. With the press of a footswitch, you’ll be playing virtually any combination of guitar, effect and amp.
Computer recording enthusiasts will want to exploit POD Farm plug-in, a free download that provides a crucial collection of AU/RTAS®/VST® POD tones, as well as the USB 2.0 connectivity for multi-channel recording and the S/PDIF Stereo Digital Audio Output.
In addition to stereo 1/4-inch line outputs (with Amp/Line pad switch) POD X3 Live boasts stereo XLR balanced line outputs for the best possible live signal. There’s also a digital Variax connection that combines the acoustic and electric guitar models of your Variax with the amps, cabs, and effects of your POD X3 Live. With the press of a footswitch, you’ll be playing virtually any combination of guitar, effect and amp.

With the brilliant new Dual Tone processing provided by POD X3 Live, you can double your trouble by running through two amp rigs simultaneously, pairing any of the rumbling amp models provided by POD X3 Live for new and adventurous hybrids.
And of course, Line 6 uses A.I.R.™ II microphone modeling to give you four mic options (with control of mic positioning and room bleed) for every single cab.
