The TW45 super-folk guitar is part of Tanglewood Guitars best of the best, Sundance Pro range of acoustic guitars, built using the finest construction techniques and materials in China.
The super folk style features top quality components including a solid Mahogany back, solid Cedar top and a B Band equaliser for brilliant tone and resonance. Tuners are spaciously set in the headstock, which displays a Tanglewood logo on the front and an angled diamond shape volute where it runs into the neck around the back for extra support. The front of the guitar is framed in a multiple celluloid binding that also runs around the head and down the fretboard adding to the comfortable feel of the TW45.
Each guitar comes with a factory-checked certificate measuring the action of the strings at the first and twelfth fret to guarantee playability straight out of the box. With nicely rounded frets and careful binding, the TW45 plays smoothly especially on the higher frets where tones are crystal clear.
Solid woods and compact shape contribute to a bright sound with great high-end definition. Sustain is enhanced by the bone nut and saddle which improves the sound waves travel into the wood from the strings.
The TW45 incorporates a B Band transducer for outstanding tone reproduction whilst playing through an amplifier and bass middle and treble controls let you finely tune your ‘electrified’ sound. With solid woods and easy action, the TW45 would suit anyone looking for a guitar with sparkling sounds a comfortable feel at an affordable price.
The TW45 is available in two styles, Natural Satin (NS), and Deluxe (DLX). The natural satin finish brings the back and sides to life with glowing wood tones while the front is of a darker grain. The wood is especially brilliant around the back where it glimmers in thick bands of orangey brown. The TW45NS features a set of chrome tuners.
The TW45 DLX takes the show a bit further with a Tanglewood logo shimmering in abalone on the headstock, matching snowflake shaped position markers down the fretboard. Adding to the elegant nature of the TW45 Deluxe are the Grover gold machine heads that look great and are unrivalled for their precision and reliability.
Deep natural colours of the wood shine through the high gloss finish of the body and semi satin neck making the TW45 deluxe look and feel luxurious.
