The curves and contours of the body and headstock are powerfully accentuated by the deep wood tones of the sunburst finishing, which seems to glow with a life of its own! The bold headstock ends in an upwards curl in true Thunderbird style with all 4 black chrome machine heads sitting to attention behind. The elegantly shaped truss rod cover displays its golden Epiphone logo highlighting the top of the ultra slim neck and smooth rosewood fingerboard with perfectly set dot inlays.
The two black humbucking pickups and adjustable bridge sit on a raised platform that stretches right across the body giving the Epiphone Thunderbird IV a distinctive shape, divided by stepped dark lines. The sound of this bass guitar is just right for its image, with a thumping bottom end thanks to the Epiphone humbuckers each controlled by separate volume controls and a shared tone dial.
