Tusq Bridge Pins

I have just replaced the platic pins on my bought used Martin OM 21 with Tusq. The sound is immediatly clearer, with better definition and sustain. Volume also slightly inceased.

Plastic and all but the best ebony bridge pins damp the sound board and deaden and muffle the sound.

If you want a bright zingy sound with sustain go for phospher bronze pins.

Gotta give these pins 5 outta 5! They've played a huge role in changing the way my acoustic sounds.

I've had my Fender CD60CE since December '06, and it sounded and felt great to play when I first got it. But once I changed the strings for the first time, the cheap plastic bridge pins caused a lot of trouble.

If you need to replace your crummy plastic pins with something a little stronger than wood, go with these everytime.

These pins get your attention as soon as you take them out of the packaging. They tinkle when knocked together (distictly different from the dull tap with the old set).I was intrigued, though still dubious but when they were fitted, the difference in sound was surprisingly obvious.The guitar had a new ring and responsiveness.True, they cost around £5 more than basic moulded pins but that seems pretty reasonable for the difference they made to the sound.
