Acoustic guitars are subject to environmental conditions including temperature and humidity, which varies depending on where the guitar is kept. Changes in temperature and humidity can cause the wood to expand, contract or warp. The hot and dry conditions of the average home can cause warping of the top of the guitar and a miss shaping of the neck angle, which in turn affects the action and may warrant expensive repairs. The Planet Waves Acoustic Guitar Humidifier has been designed to maintain humidity in your guitar when it is stored in normal room conditions. The device slots in-between the strings of the guitar and projects into the sound hole, releasing excess water as vapour when humidity drops below safe levels. The humidifier is easily refilled using the included syringe.
