Top - Solid Spruce Back/Sides - Quilted Maple, black and white binding Neck - Maple Fingerboard - Rosewood Inlays - snowflakes Machines - Exclusive Grover 18:1 gear ratio tuners with Ebonite buttons Bridge - Rosewood, Butterfly style Pickup - BBand tape mic and preamp
Powerful in tone and awe-inspiring in appearance, the Washburn J28SDL, from the Cumberland Jumbo range, is at home on stage and in studio.
North American materials such as renewable solid Spruce and the finest quilted natural Maple are the foundation for a guitar series which will impress you.
The Jumbo's headstock has a Rosewood veneer, Grover machines with a nice 'Ebonite' button, and is fully bound.
The neck is Maple, with a Rosewood fingerboard and 'snowflake' inlays.
The Jumbo body is large, round and deep, definately jumbo in sound as well, as you expect.
The back and sides of the guitar are quilted Maple, very impressive, the solid Spruce top a little more conservative, but together they produce a very impressive sound.
With a BBand tape mic & preamp to this Venetian cutaway version of the best selling Jumbo J28SDL, the system will give you the closest tone to a mic’d acoustic you can get on stage. The Jumbo body with solid spruce top sounds awesome unplugged as well.
Finished off with a Rosewood 'butterfly' Bridge and (fake) tortoiseshell pickguard, the J28 produces powerful low end without sacrificing sweet mids & highs.
