The TW60 from Tanglewood's Sundance Range is a larger, round bodied Auditorium style electro acoustic guitar.
The Mahogany satin finished neck and headstock has open backed, Sta-Tite style machine heads with small, white butterbean buttons, with a tight action, proving very stable tuning. Tanglewood in nice green abolone is written in full on the headstock.
The neck itself is good and smooth, with cream plastic binding, a bone nut, Rosewood fingerboard and small white pearloid dot markers. There is also a strap hook fitted to the heel joint.
This model has a non cutaway body, joining the neck at the 15th fret, we have a solid Spruce top and Mahogany body. Here finished in a great looking aged Vintage Sunburst for a bit of a cool, retro look. The high gloss body has cream binding on both the front and back, a Tortoiseshell pickguard, a Rosewood bridge with a hand carved bont compensating saddle and Tanglewoods favorite B-Band EQ fitted to the upper body bout.
The EQ features a 3 band EQ, presence and volume controls. These pickups are nowadays really so small and light, you hardly notice they're there at all! The straphook doubles up as the jack socket, and there is a 9v battery compartment nearby.
Nice, big and bright clear sound, great for fingerpicking.
