Fenders Mexican Standard Series of electric guitars has become something of a ledgend.
The construction and resulting value for money is remarkable, great for the player who has a budget in mind - all of us.
The Fender Standard Stratocaster is available here in 2 flavours, either with a Rosewood fingerboard, or a Maple fingerboard.
The headstock is smaller on the Mexican models, with 6 in line enclosed Chrome Fender branded machine heads, these feel very precise and are clearly excellent quality.
The Maple neck has a lovely smooth, waxy feel to it, that's going to be great for late night sweaty gigs! The Maple fingerboard is unvarnished with black position markers, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard has white markers
The fully contoured body feels very confortable to play, and has a 3 ply white scratchplate with matching white controls and pickups.
The chrome Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo is also Fender branded, held on by 6 screws it has a sturdy action.
The pickups have ceramic magnets to give a hotter sound, clean and bright as Strats are famous for.
