The new Seymour Duncan Blackouts are a 9-volt active humbucker set for aggressive playing styles. Recommended for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles.
We know that guitarists who love active pickups want a tone that's less compressed, with a more extended frequency response, and super quiet.
By using balanced inputs, Blackouts have around 12-14dB less hum than the competition. You'll immediately notice the benefits of the reduced hum when you record, especially if you're around computer monitors, power transformers or flourescent lighting.
In addition to being quieter, Blackouts have more lows, more highs and more output. Simply put, the Blackouts have more tone than other active pickups.
Blackouts come with all necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.
