The Original SE guitar from Paul Reed Smith that started an entire range.
A beauty it is as well, compact, light, easy to play with a sound as sweet as the guitar looks!
The small headstock has 3 chrome PRS tuners on either side, with the Santana name in block capitals and cream plastic binding that runs all around the head and down either side of the fretboard.
The set in neck is slim, smooth and fast, with a lovely fingerboard. The back of the headstock and neck are finished in the same Metallic Red as the body. The Rosewood fretboard has a very tight grain and the frets are well polished giving a silky feel as you move around the fingerboard.
The body has a double cutaway, giving good access to all 22 frets and taking the extra weight away from the upper bout you get with single cutaways. The lower cut also has extra chamfering giving more comfort to those upper frets.
The black scratchplate is small and mathces the 2 pickup surrounds. The Santana has a Chrome 'wrap around' style bridge, perfectly set for intonation and a great low action. The 2 uncovered humbuckers give a great range of tones making an extremely versatile guitar, one of our favorites at Guitarbitz.
Great looks, playability and value.
