The ESP Ltd V-200 is a classic Flying V played by rock and metal bands all over the world, and for this price, it's got to be played to be believed!
It's stunning quality all over, with great sounds and playability, and looks to die for.
The sharp, angular headstock is gloss black all over, with bright white binding and 6 in line black chrome ESP tuners, giving unrivaled, accurate tuning, even in detuned situations. The gold 'LTD' logo shines brightly out from the front of the menacing looking head!
The white plastic binging continues down either side of the neck, which has a gloss black finish to the rear. The 24 frets are ESP's traditional extra large jumbo types, as is familiar on a lot of rock guitars nowadays. The fingerboard and fretwork is great, with a tight grain and smooth silky sheen to the highly polished frets, great for string bends and fast solo's up and down the fretboard. Large white dots mark the usual positions, with 1 large abolone block marker at the 12th displaying the model number.
The neck is bolted onto the body by 4 black chrome screws, with a matching ESP branded neck plate. The straphook is nearby.
The Basswood body has plenty of weight, giving a good amount of resonance, aided by the string thru body bridge type. A black chrome tune-o-matic bridge and matching black V shaped scratchplate also feature.
The V is a symetrical type, giving good balance and a nice playing position when standing, aided by a deep bit of chamfering to the back of the upper bout.
The pair of ESP LH-150 pickups are controled by 2 volumes and a master tone. A 3 way selector switch lets you switch between the bridge and neck pickups.
This is a great guitar for overdriven rock and metal, the pickups are able to give plenty of nicely smooth, distorted sounds, but also some surprisingy bright jingley jangley rhythm work is available!
A classic Flying V from ESP, a leading rock and metal guitar manufacturer, with some great sounds and looks on offer.
