The ISF control removes the limitations of traditional designs allowing you to tune the tone to exactly the sound you are looking for. Choose between the voicings of a USA style amp, the voicings of a UK style amp or anywhere in between. Blend the ISF control to find the tone that you want, the list of tones really is endless! The ISF essentially slides the EQ spectrum along to what an American style amp would sound like and up to a UK style amp.
With the Blackstar One Series amplifiers you can use the Blackstar DPR (Dynamic Power Reduction) power control to reduce the actual power that the head produces. This is effectively like a built in attenuator. Take the amp from full power at 50 watts to a tiny 5 watts! This means that this amp can be used at home at smalls volumes, in the studio and at medium sized venue gigs. So there's no limitations. Being able to use an amp this loud at tiny volumes is an extremely good feature making it incredibly versatile. If you have an amp this good you're going to want to use it everywhere, and this is the ideal solution!
Whether you're playing clean, crunched up or for full on lead this Blackstar amp does it all. Select different types of clean and over drive... 'Bright' or 'Warm' for clean, 'crunch' or 'supercrunch' for overdrive. Taking a look at the front panel we can see the simple layout of controls that make it real easy to dial in your ideal tone.
As you can see the layout of this Blackstar's controls are quite simple making it quick and simple to get a great sound from the minute you turn the amp on! Whether you want to plug it into a 1x12" cabinet or a 4x12" it will sound great either way! With the option of an effects loop too you can really bring this Blackstar amplifier to life with all your favourite guitar effects pedals.
Here are the tech specs of this amplifier:
Overall this Blackstar Series One 50w valve guitar head is an amp for the gigging musician who needs great versatility and a great sound. With massive capabilities for loud volume it will fill a medium sized venue easily. However, at the same time the DPR allows you to play at low volumes which is great for at home and it won't annoy the neighbours! An awesome, versatile all valve amplifier with 2 channels, ISF control, effects loop and much more. This amp will not disappoint, come in and try it out, you'll be pleasantly surprised if not blown away... literally!
"I've never been happy with a guitar tone... but then I found Blackstar." - Mike Duce, Lower Than Atlantis
