Guitar synthesisers have been somewhat 'put aside' in the past to gather dust as they haven't always performed to how one might expect. Roland, however, after years of research and testing have revolutionised the Guitar Synth concept with their Roland GR-55 Guitar Synthesiser.
This machine is absolutely amazing with what it can deliver. This is the fastest, most accurate guitar synth yet thanks to its pitch-detection technology which can give you amazing sounds never heard from your guitar before.
This GR55 houses a triple-core generator that holds a huge array of world-class sounds such as: Guitars, basses, amps, synths, voices, strings... The list goes on and on.
Turning on the GR-55 for the first time faces you with an easy-to-use interface which is powered through a huge, bright display. It's just stunning.
Due to the vast amount of work Roland have done to bring us this product the GK-3 Pickup is extremely responsive and behaves much like a normal guitar pickup in the way that it responds to different playing dynamics and sends real time velocity values to the main hub to still give you the feel and characteristics that you would expect to hear from a normal guitar pickup.
With the GR:55 you can get synthesising your guitar straight away with all the presets that the pedal board has to offer. With 297 user editable presets and 290 Roland presets there are hundreds of possible sounds that are just waiting to be dived into.
If you're new to the idea of synthesis and multi-effect processors then don't be put off by the huge amount that this has to offer. The GR-55 is powerful yet extremely friendly. The 'EZ' edit function allows you to create and customize sounds with ease as the large display makes it straight forward and simple. For the perfectionist, there are huge amounts of fine tuning you can do to get your ideal sound. Massive amounts of parameters are editable to really get a sound unique to you.
The GR-55 bridges the gap between the guitarist and the computer. Its USB connectivity allows you to use the MIDI communication in recording programs such as Logic to give you endless scope of recording possibilities.
This floorboard, the Roland GR-55 Guitar Synthesiser, is an innovative modern masterpiece that has endless possibilities for guitar players. The synth stompbox is incredibly versatile and will have your audience stunned!
