If you thought the Boss DD-3 or DD-6 was a good delay pedal then be sure to check out the Boss DD-7 Digital Delay.
This all new delay features incredible versatility within its modes and parameters. The DD7 holds four of the same parameters from its predecessors: ‘50ms’, ‘200ms’, ‘800ms’ and the ‘Hold’ option.
However the DD 7 boasts a new time parameter of ‘3200ms’ allowing for a very long delay time of up to 6.4s. This compact and durable pedal also allows for ‘Reverse’, ‘Analogue’ and ‘Modulate’ modes.
The parameter controls are ‘E.level’, ‘Feedback’ and ‘Delay Time’. The 'Effect Level' controls the amount of the delay signal that is mixed with your original sound.
The 'Feedback' control alters the amount of delayed repeats that will be produced. 'Delay Time' allows the user to set how long the delay lasts.
The ‘Modulate’ setting on the Boss DD:7 conveys dazzling tonal qualities of Delay mixed with Chorus that when played clean really sparkle.
The ‘Analog’ mode on the pedal emulates a tape delay portraying an accurate simulation of old and original delay units.
Another feature of the Digital Delay is its ‘Reverse’ feature. The pedal will repeat what you play but in reverse which can sound exceptional when playing up and down a scale.
Using the ‘Hold’ mode the user can layer up samples to create 40 seconds worth of recordings that play in a loop.
The Boss DD-7 also has input capabilities for a tap tempo switch which can be used to set up a delay time entirely at the user’s discretion. This makes this pedal extremely versatile and flexible for the user to shape their own unique delay sound.
After all these impressive features the pedal can also be run in a stereo configuration allowing a spatial, full delay sound that is second-to-none. A truly great pedal from Boss!
BOSS 5-year warranty.
