There are many different types of guitar Pots, Switches and Electronics that you can choose from for your guitar and bass.
Potentiometers, pots, volume and tone controls, whatever you want to call them we offer different types for single coil pickups and for humbucking pickups.
If you're looking at buying new pots for your electric guitar then for a Fender style guitar with single coil pickups a '250k' pot would be suitable.
Whereas, for a humbucker pickup that's classically found in Les Paul style guitars a '500k' pot would be more suitable.
250k pot - Single Coils: Warmer sound ideal for Strats and Teles.
500k pot - Humbuckers: Brighter sound for a beefy, thick sound.
The quality of the pots that you buy will have an impact on the sound of your guitar which means that cheap pots may not sound as good as the more expensive ones.
Different guitars have different hardware to switch between the pickups. Some guitars have 2 pickups and some have 3, therefore you need to match the selector control to the right guitar and pickup configuration.
For example, for a Stratocaster guitar you would need a 5 way pickup selector as it has 3 pickups with 5 different combinations (Bridge, Middle, Neck, Bridge-Middle, Neck-Middle).
For a Telecaster, and in some cases a Strat, it has 2 pickups with 3 different combinations (Neck, Bridge, Both) a 3 way selector would be appropriate.
For a Les Paul or SG a Gibson style toggle switch would be required.
Jack sockets allow you to connect you guitar to other equipment including amplifiers, mixing desks, etc. We have different jack sockets for electric, electro acoustic and bass guitars.
Due to use, the connectors in jack sockets can move or wear out over time and you may find that your amp crackles as you move your lead in your jack socket. It might be time to replace your worn out one.
There are many different parts to a guitar such as resistors, capacitors and input jacks that make up the 'guts' of a guitar so take a look at our range to see what we have to offer.
