Want features you?d expect in a much more expensive, unbranded instrument?
The Fender CD-60 is your guitar, with features including a Spruce top, Nato back and sides, die-cast tuners and an accessory kit including clip on digital tuner, Fender strap and plectrums, a tutorial DVD and a spare set of Fender guitar strings.
Probably the best value for money, proper top branded guitar we've seen, Fenders CD60 is a very nice playing, attractive, big sounding dreadnought with all the accessories you need to get you started.
The headstock is long and slim, with a high gloss finish to the front and back, and Fenders famous logo shining out in gold at the top.
The back is plain, with 2 rows of 3-a-side machine heads, Chrome die-cast versions, the work perfectly well.
The Nato neck is slim, nicely designed for beginners, a shallow D profile, meaning you don't need big hands to get on with this guitar. The neck and body have a gloss finish showing the woodgrain below.
The fingerboard is Sonokeling, which is similar to Rosewood, and it's nicely bound up both side in black plastic, and has large white dot inlays for position markers.
It's a nicely set up instrument as well, action is low at about 3mm across the board at the 12th fret, and with coated d'Addario EXP strings, it plays very easy.
The neck joins the Nato body at the 14th fret, and on the higher shoulder here, we have a useful strap hook. The body is fairly plain, this Sunburst version has black and white binding all round.
The Spruce top, or font, of the CD-60 has a teardrop shaped black scratchplate, black and white multi-ring soundhole rosette and Sonokeling bridge with black bridge pins.
The Fender CD60 plays very impressively, sounds are big, bright and cheerful with plenty of tonal character, perfectly respectable for a beginners guitar.
With the useful accessories as well, a DVD to get you going, quality clip-on digital tuner, strap, strings and plectrums, this really must be our top acoustic guitar package.
