The 15 Series 000-15SM model continues the Martin tradition with solid, all-Mahogany construction and a rich satin finish.
The Martin 000-size 12-fret neck features a slotted headstock.
Satisfy your desire with an affordable solid wood guitar that is visually distinctive and innovative.
A beautiful little parlour shape guitar, made with genuine solid woods, weighing in at not much more than 3lbs.
The headstock of the 000 15SM is a slotted style, like you'd find on a classical guitar. The front is faced with a lovely Rosewood veneer, and we have the Martin & Co logo in gold at the top.
The back is completely plain satin Mahogany, this theme continues for the entire guitar, whist the machine heads, fixed on either side of the headstock, are a high quality, nickel open geared style, beautifully engraved and finished with a man made 'Ivoroid' button. Lovely stuff.
Onto the neck of this Martin guitar, solid 'genuine' Mahogany, with satin finish, and a very shallow, easy playing depth, much like a D profile that will suit all hand sizes.
The Martin15 Series 000-15 SM has a Morado fingerboard, very unbound, with small green and purple Abolone snowflake inlays, and small white dot side position markers.
The body is also all solid 'genuine' Mahogany, no laminates here. And no binding either. In fact, apart from the small red pickguard and square shaped Morado (looks like Rosewood) bridge with 6 Ebony pins, it's just about as minimal as you can get. A charming guitar.
The top has an A frame 'X' bracing pattern made with solid Sitka Spruce braces.
Beautifully set up by the American factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this Martin 15 Series guitar has light gauge strings, with a nut width of 44mm, string spacing of 57mm at the bridge and a low action of about 2mm at the 12th fret.
A beautiful guitar to play, small and compact, you'll fall in love with it from the off. Strumming gives decent volume levels, the Mahogany gives a throaty, woody tone with plenty of body - for a small guitar.
Finger pickers though will find it particularly enjoyable, individual notes with with much clarity, depth and precision.
A gorgeous little guitar, a guitar for life that you'll not want to put down. The 15 Series 000-15 SM offers great value for money, coming from the American factory with all solid woods and a nice hard case as well.
