One of Takamine's most popular electro acoustic guitars, the EG461SC features a solid Spruce top, Rosewood body, gold machine heads and plenty of sparkly Abolone decorations.

The nicely shaped, squarish headstock tapers gently away to a swirly point, gloss black to the front, as is the whole guitar, with the Takamine G Series logo in gold script writing on the front.

The back of the headstock is plain, apart from 2 rows of 3 a side tuners, gold coloured die-cast affairs with white mother of pearl buttons.

The neck also has a glossy black paint job, it's moderately thin, a D profile, nut width is 43mm. The Rosewood fingerboard is fully bound in bright, white plastic.

The board has smart looking Abolone snowflake position markers, whilst the silver nickel frets are well finished, and the Rosewood itself is well polished up.

The neck joins the Rosewood body at the 14th fret on the bass side, 18th on the treble side, and with a deep cutaway here, upper fretboard access if not a problem.

The body has an all over gloss black finish, the back has a thin white centre join line running the length of the body, and the end of the heel joint is also protected in white plastic.

The back is bound to the side in the same white plastic, whilst the solid Spruce top is bound in white to the edge, and very nice looking green and purple Abolone to the top.

This Abolone also decorates the soundhole, and here we also have a black plastic scratchplate, almost invisible against the black finish.

The square, blocky bridge is Rosewood, with white plastic bridge pins.

The pickup on this model is Takamine's own TP-4T, which features 1 3 band EQ, gain (volume) and a very useful built in fully chromatic tuner with a red LED display.

The largish, rounded body of the EG461 gives the guitar plenty of volume, good for intricate finger picking, and heavy duty strumming alike. The solid Spruce top and Rosewood body give bright, vibrant tones, not too bassy, good rounded mids and characterful trebles.

A lovely playing guitar, the Takamine EG461SC is a good all purpose instrument that will please everyone playing or listening.

If you notice that this packaging is damaged when delivered by our courier, it is important to check the goods and if damaged, refuse the delivery and call us immediately. We can deliver to the following European countries,
• Zone 1 - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Spain - £15 (including TAX) per order.
• Zone 2 - Finland, Portugal and Sweden - £25 (including TAX) per order.
• Zone 3 - Switzerland and Norway - £50 (excluding TAX) per order.
