The Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass guitar was designed with the gigging bass player in mind.

This Alder bodied bass offers classic styling and modern features such as a comfortable C-shaped maple neck, four-ply brown shell pickguard on a Vintage White body, two dual-coil ceramic Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups with nickel-plated pole pieces, and a three-band active EQ with treble, mid and bass boost/cut.

Distinctively attractive looking with a clear, thunderous sound.

The Deluxe Jazz Bass has a curvy, rounded headstock, with Fender logo in gold on the satin finished front, and JAZZ BASS in black block letters. A large round string tree keeps pressure on the 2 treble strings.

The back, also satin, has the guitars serial number, and a row of 4, large open geared machine heads in Chrome.

The Maple neck also has a satin finish, slim, it's extremely comfortable to play, a C shape at the low end, tapering gently to a D at the dusty end of the board. A thin strip of Rosewood makes the 'skunk' stripe on the back of the neck, where the truss rod is added.

The fingerboard on this model is Rosewood, and we have 20 medium jumbo frets, and large white dot position markers. Needless to say, the board plays beautifully.

The neck is bolted to the Alder body, a plain Chrome neck plate round the back, and the neck joint, with the cutaways here give excellent access to the entire fretboard.

The back of the body is pretty much entirely plain, apart from the battery case on the bottom, behind the controls.

The front of this Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass is finished in a cool gloss black, and we have that familiar, large scratchplate - a 4 ply version here finishing in a deep red shell - very smart.

Further down we have a smaller Chrome plate with 4 controls, in fact 5, as one of of them is a doubler. The first control is master volume, then the 3 band EQ starts with the mid boost, then the double pot, so the bottom here is bass with treble on the top, and finally the smaller control, which is the pan pot, or pickup selector.

This Deluxe version has 2 noiseless dualcoil Jazz pickups, these are excellent quality, American made, as are all of the electronics, and this really shows in the sounds and tones available to you.

The bridge is a fairly standard 2 saddle, Chrome affair, and the jack socket is on the lower edge, near the controls.

This bass guitar is a real joy to play, the low action and smooth fingerboard make it really easy to run around the neck. The pickups sound amazing, and with the active circuity giving powerful sounds, a 3 band equalizer that gives a large range of very useable tones and so much vibe, this is a very desirable instrument.

If you notice that this packaging is damaged when delivered by our courier, it is important to check the goods and if damaged, refuse the delivery and call us immediately. • Zone 1 - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Spain - £15 (including TAX) per order.
• Zone 2 - Finland, Portugal and Sweden - £25 (including TAX) per order.
• Zone 3 - Switzerland and Norway - £50 (excluding TAX) per order.
