The Squier Affinity Stratocaster HSS, here in its striking Montego Black Sparkle finish, is an electric guitar that offers amazing tones, great playability & a stunning appearance all for an incredible price! With a humbucker pickup in the bridge it's got plenty of power and is ready for any style of music you throw at it! It's ideal for beginners, or anyone who wants a taste of what a Strat should sound and feel like! Take it to lessons, rehearsals and it's going to do you proud.

This guitar is very well finished for a cheaper model and with the addition of a cool granite style scratch plate, it just makes it look fantastic! The Indian Laurel fingerboard has 21 frets and the oversized '70s style headstock gives a slightly vintage feel whilst the rest of the instrument is more of a modern take on a classic design.

In the 'HSS' configuration (humbucker, single coil, single coil), there's so many tones that you can get out of it. From punchy twangs to smooth, creamy woody tones it's all here whether you're playing clean or with full on distortion it's going to perform just as you need it to! Versatility is at its best! The 5-way pickup selector allows you to explore a multitude of tones from the past from 'Sweet Home Alabama' all the way to John Mayer and everywhere in between!

This guitar is super easy to play, which is exactly what an entry level instrument should be. It's a joy to play! If you're a beginner it's good to have a guitar that will inspire you and this one certainly will! If it's available then it's ready to go with FREE next day UK delivery so you can be playing your first chords and licks in no time at all! 4Lovely for the money....

Today I called in to Guitarbitz to try out the Squier Affinity Fat Strat HSS. I'm a Bass player and learning guitarist who's never played a Strat-style guitar before, but liked the sound of this one with the humbucking pick-up for a bit of extra bite, at a pretty good price. Gave it a quick try in the shop and liked it enough to buy it, but of course, you never know what it's really like until you give it a proper workout. So I got it home, fired up some blues-rock backing tracks and got stuck into it. A couple of hours later, and I'm really pleased. It's a lovely guitar to play; nice neck, good action, and a wide variety of use-able sounds, with at least two of the positions from the 5-way selector switch becoming instant favourites. The appearance is good too: the black sparkle is very understated, and works well with the 'granite' effect scratchplate. I kept going back to the guitar for another play...always a good sign. A very good value-for-money guitar this...I'm going to enjoy getting to know it better!
