1967 Fender Telecaster - Blonde Refin - Preowned

1967 Fender Telecaster in see-through blonde with plenty of mojo and ready to rock! This is a piece of Fender history that's certainly seen some life in its time but has been rejuvenated and made ready for another 50+ years of action.

This guitar came to us in a fairly sorry state with a stripped body, poor re-fret and number of changed parts and we have returned this great guitar to as close to original condition as possible and it has come out great! 

The guitar has been refinished in a beautiful see-through blonde finish that really sets off the grain of the body. As well as this the guitar was also re-fretted with some much more appropriate narrow tall fret wire. All of this work was carried out by The Vintage Instrument Workshop in Denmark Street as was the final assembly of the guitar which was done to an incredible standard. 

The body of the guitar features a slightly enlarged neck pickup cavity as a Strat pickup was present when we purchased the guitar. The rest of the neck and body are totally original however, with no breaks, cracks or repairs. The pickups, pots and switch are also original, with the bridge pickup having been rewound during the restoration process. The machine heads, string tree and strap buttons are also original. 

This leaves the few replaced parts on the guitar which include a Fender AVRI 3 ply pick-guard, AVRI bridge setup with brass saddles and a new Fender control plate. A new bone nut was installed during the re-fret process also, as a brass one was present when we acquired the guitar. 

All in all the end result is fantastic and it has a real Jimmy Page Mirror Tele vibe. It plays and sounds fantastic and despite the re-fret and other replaced parts still has that lovely vintage vibe to it that only a vintage guitar can give you! The guitar came to us in a period correct Selmer hard shell case which is included in the sale but a new Fender 'Poodle' case is what the guitar will sell in to keep this restored beauty safe and sound with its new owner.
