The Cort Multi-Scale guitar

The Cort Multi-Scale guitar

As much as I love Fender, PRS and so on, I was very very excited to hear that we had some multi scale guitars coming in for delivery, something I’m really passionate about and would be able to confidently talk to customers about!

My personal style of playing and taste in guitars is very much in the realm of digital amps, low tuning, technical riffs.

CORT KX507MS-SDB ELECTRIC GUITAR - STARDUST BLACK

We’ve got the Cort KX50MS 8 string guitar as you can see in the video. Cort aren’t a huge brand in the multi scale world but I was seriously impressed by this guitar, I’ve played a lot of 8 strings in my time and this is probably one of the comfiest guitars I’ve played!

The neck felt really comfortable and I completely forgot I was playing a fanned fret instrument after about 30 seconds of playing. It sounded amazing and stays in tune really well, the guitar tone you hear in the video comes from Neural DSP - Gojira and the guitar was fresh out the box when I recorded it.

The same can be said for the Cort KX507MS, it’s a really light guitar and feels incredibly comfortable to play. It’s essentially the same guitar just minus the extra string so if 8 strings are a bit too much of a daunting idea then you can always tune the 7 string to the same tuning the 8 would be in.

For those who are into bands like Meshuggah, Periphery, Animals as leaders and Sleep Token, these guitars are seriously worth keeping your eye on!
