Ibanez Guitars

Ibanez Guitars are a Japanese manufacturer of electric guitars, bass guitars, guitar amps, accessories and effects pedals.

Production started way back in 1935, but the more modern era began in the 50's, with production in a number of excellent Japanese factories.

In the 60's, Ibanez Guitars started making copies of famous Fender and Gibson models, sometimes to better standards, and began importing them into the USA and Europe.  This led to the so-called 'lawsuit' era of the 70's and 80's, that did massive damage to the established brands.

Ibanez Guitars have a reputation for some pretty wild designs, and are associated with Rock and Metal, although their HUGE range of electric and bass guitars covers pretty much all genres, and their acoustic guitars are not to shabby either!
