Mad Professor 1 Brown Sound distortion / reverb effects pedal

The Mad Professor 1 is a distortion/reverb pedal crafted to deliver the coveted "brown" guitar sound of the late '70s and early '80s when used with a clean amplifier. 

This pedal generates an intense drive while maintaining clarity, much like the iconic tone it emulates. It also features an integrated reverb circuit to enhance your sound with ambiance and depth.

The gain of the "1" ranges from moderate to very heavy distortion, which can be finely adjusted using your guitar's volume control. (The input impedance is designed to enable this control, although it may be reduced if a buffer or buffered effect is placed before the "1".) The Brown knob adjusts the level and harmonic overtones of the distortion. Achieving the precise tonal quality is essential for this legendary sound, and the Brown and Presence controls of the "1" ensure it can be paired effectively with a broad range of pickups and amplifiers.

Additionally, the "1" includes a built-in reverb circuit with a Level knob to set the ambiance. The reverb sound is inspired by the studio reverb on classic '80s tracks. The decay time is fixed to maintain the rhythm of your play, but the current decay time and tone can be altered with internal trimmers in the pedal.
