Renegade - 15W Valve Amplifier 

The Renegade is a mid-powered, American-voiced valve amplifier designed to deliver warm, articulate clean tones with generous headroom. Rated at 15 watts and powered by a pair of 6V6 output valves, it offers significantly more volume and authority than its wattage might suggest, while remaining well suited to studio, home, and practice use. For band settings, it performs best when mic’d.

As the volume control is pushed past around halfway, the amplifier transitions smoothly into natural output-stage overdrive. From this point on, drive character can be shaped using the interaction between guitar output and volume control, producing a wide range of dynamic, touch-responsive tones. The Renegade also makes an excellent pedal platform, retaining clarity and balance even with complex effects chains.

The amplifier is highly responsive to pick attack, allowing the player precise control over dynamics and breakup directly from their hands.

The preamp features a single ECC83 (12AX7) input gain stage feeding a classic Fender Blackface-style tone stack with Treble, Middle, and Bass controls. A long-tailed-pair phase inverter provides an additional gain stage and drives the push-pull power section efficiently, contributing to the amp’s headroom and harmonic complexity.

Reverb is provided by a valve-driven spring reverb circuit, offering a deep, musical reverb with plenty of range.

High and Low inputs allow the use of different pickup outputs and provide further control over gain and drive.

A 12” Jensen Alnico speaker is fitted as standard, chosen for its smooth response, clarity, and vintage character. Alternative speaker options are available on request.

As with all of our amplifiers, the Renegade is fully hand-wired using high-quality, serviceable components. There are no PCBs, ensuring long-term reliability, ease of maintenance, and the ability to accommodate future modifications.
